1. Who this policy covers

This policy applies to anyone who purchases a Sample Monsta paid license (currently the “Perpetual” PRO license offered at samplemonsta.com/auth/pricing) or makes a paid donation that triggers a license upgrade.

2. Standard refund window

You may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of the original purchase date, for any reason. This applies whether or not you have activated the license on a machine. Refunds are issued to the original payment method through the payment processor that handled the original transaction.

3. How to request a refund

Send an email to [email protected] from the email address associated with your purchase. Include:

• The order ID or transaction ID from your purchase receipt (PayPal sends one automatically; we also email a Sample Monsta receipt)
• The email used at checkout, if different
• A brief reason — not mandatory but it helps us improve

We acknowledge every refund request within 3 business days and process approved refunds within 5–10 business days. The actual time the funds reappear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer.

4. Eligibility

Eligible

• Any paid license purchased within the last 14 days, activated or not
• Technical failures that prevent Sample Monsta from running on a supported platform (macOS 11+ on Intel and Apple Silicon; Windows 10/11 64-bit), where we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable troubleshooting window
• Accidental duplicate purchases
• Purchases made by someone other than the account holder without authorization

Not eligible

• Donations and tips made through samplemonsta.com/community/donate — these are voluntary contributions and explicitly non-refundable, except in cases of accidental duplicate payment
• Refund requests submitted more than 14 days after purchase, where no documented technical issue exists and the license has been used in production work
• Free PROMO partner licenses (no payment was made)

5. EU and UK consumer rights

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that grants statutory withdrawal rights for digital products, those rights apply in addition to this policy. Sample Monsta is digital content delivered electronically. By completing checkout you consent to immediate delivery; under standard EU and UK rules this can waive the statutory 14-day cooling-off period for digital content. We voluntarily honor a 14-day no-questions refund window regardless, so in practice you are no worse off than the statutory minimum.

6. Payment processor and chargebacks

Sample Monsta currently processes payments through PayPal Checkout. Refunds are returned through the same PayPal transaction. PayPal’s own buyer-protection policies apply alongside this policy and are not limited by it.

If you purchased a Sample Monsta license before June 19, 2026, your transaction may have been processed by our previous payment provider Paddle.com as Merchant of Record. Refund requests for those legacy transactions are honored on the same terms; contact us at [email protected] and we will coordinate with the relevant processor.

We prefer to resolve issues directly. Filing a chargeback before contacting us delays the resolution and can result in the license being suspended pending review.

7. What happens after a refund

When a refund is issued, the associated license is deactivated and removed from your account. If you only purchased one license, the account itself remains so you can still use Sample Monsta under the free PROMO partner programme, subject to its activity requirements.
